Brown Snakes are the second most popular snake in America besides the garter
snake. If you ever find just a normal Brown Snake it is okay to keep it for a few days
just make sure you release it. A lot of people think that you can just keep a brown
snake for a month and then release it. IF you keep them for too long they will not learn
how to live on their own. This makes them vulnerable when they go in the wild
because they will not no how to live for themselves.
If you ever find an injured Brown snake the first thing to do is to care for it as quickly as
possible. First if the Brown snake you find is bleeding close off any wounds with a
tissue and apply pressure to stop the bleeding. If the Brown snake was run over or
seriously injured you should probably try to take it to a local vet or animal clinic.
Although it is just a snake all animals should be treated fairly.
Brown snakes are very cool snakes. They usually grow to anywhere from 6 - 10
inches. They obviously have a medium brown layer that covers their whole body.
Brown snakes do not really have any specific designs on them they usually occur in all
brown. They will spend the day under shade and when it gets cooler they will come
out and hunt. What most people don't realize is 75 percent of snakes are nocturnal.
Garter and Brown snakes are some of the few snakes that aren't nocturnal that is why
you will see them more often.
