Environment
Your goldfish should be kept in a minimum of a 10 gallon aquarium the bigger the
better. For each fish you add 8 gallons of water. Keep the water temperature from 65
– 68 degrees Fahrenheit to make sure your fish doesn't get overheated or too cold.
Make sure you have a water based thermometer to maintain a great and equal
temperature. Keep a filter in your aquarium to make sure that the water does not
become bacteria infected. Add decorations and hiding place in your tank. Goldfish
love to hide and giving them decorations will give them a more comfortable feel in their
environment. Just make sure that the decorations are not too small otherwise they will
eat it. Don’t add sharp points otherwise it scratch their skin and this can lead to
infection. Clean their cages at least once a week and make sure you clean and get
stuff out with a small net.
Food
Goldfish are omnivores and will eat almost any flakes. Make sure that your food is
high in nutrition so that your goldfish will live a healthy life. Feed the normal flake diet
once a day and the fruit once a week . You can always add fresh fruits and
vegetables so that your fish will get an even more nutritious diet than it already has.
Keep in mind these goldfish will keep eating constantly so never over feed them
otherwise your goldfish will get obese this is a big problem to your goldfishes health.
Too much food can also poison the water and lead to the death of all of your fish.
Behavior
Goldfish are very hardy fish and will not die easily they can live in many types of
environments. You can often see them floating in the middle of their aquarium.
