Environment
Conures are very smart birds. Conures are tame and can do many things that most
birds cant do. When you pick a cage for your conure make sure that there is plenty of
room for your conure to fly around otherwise your pet will not get the exercise it needs.
These birds are similar to parrots but they are a bit smaller.
Food
Add a water bowl and a food dish for your conure but make sure the water bowl is not
big enough for your conure to drown in. Add fresh water every day and distilled water
will be the best substance to use because running water from your sink can have
chemicals within the water. This is important because harmful bacteria can kill your
conure. When you feed your conure make sure that you feed them daily. Feed them a
seeded diet. You can get Conure seed mixture at a local pet store. Add vitamin
supplements to ensure your bird gets the proper nutrition it needs. Small snacks can
be added like small fruits.
Behavior
Conures are usually very social animals they live in groups with other conures. You
can usually pet and hold your conures but do not take them out of the cage unless you
are sure of what you are doing. Sometimes if a conure does not completely trust you it
will become afraid of humans thats when you need to develop a trust between your
conure and yourself. Small groups of conures can be put in one cage but make sure
there is plenty of space for them to fly around in. Also make sure that if you do not
want baby conure do not put male and female together. Females will produce eggs but
they usually wont be fertilized without a male. Make sure if you get female conure they
are not pregnant otherwise you have more birds to raise
