Environment
The Mimicking parrot is a very interesting bird. It is said that they can listen to a song
on the radio and then mimic the same tune. They can mimic you like you would think
but it takes a while to train them. Make sure that when you get your cage for your
Mimicking parrot get the biggest cage possible. The bigger the better if you get a small
cage your mimicking parrot will not be able to fly around as freely as it should. You can
add vines and fake plants to your cage but make sure that the things you buy cannot
choke your bird and make sure that the things you buy are not toxic to your Mimicking
parrot. Be sure not to place your mimicking parrot under direct sunlight this will over
heat your bird which can lead to death. Add perches to your environment so your
mimicking parrot has room to rest. Make sure that your bird has high humidity this will
give your bird the feel it would have in its natural environment.
Food
Mimicking parrots should eat a healthy and a nutritious diet in order for them to stay
healthy. You can either get your diet from a local pet store or offline. If you decide to
get food offline be sure that the website is a reliable place and be sure that the diet is
healthy for your mimicking parrot. You can feed your Mimicking parrot vegetables and it
is also a very good source of nutrition for your bird.
Behavior
Mimicking parrots will get along with their own species but it is not suggested that you
mix them with other species. This can cause severe problems. Do not mix male and
female birds unless you want to have baby Mimicking parrots. Make sure that if you do
decide to get a another mimicking parrot you need to get a cage that is a lot bigger. I
would suggest only getting two mimicking parrots because more than that is a lot to
handle. If you do decide to get another mimicking parrot feed them twice as much food
as you would normally feed your mimicking parrot.
