Environment
Pintail finches are beautiful birds they are known for their great coloring and their long
tail feathers. Pintail Finches will need a big enclosure so that they can get exercise
from flying around. It is best to used metal bars and make sure that the bars are less
than an inch. This will prevent animals from getting your bird. Make sure that if you
have a cat or dog that the cage doesn't get bumped and make sure that your cat or
dog cant attack your bird. Put your Pintail Finch in an area that gets little sunlight too
much sunlight can over heat your bird. Also make sure that the room doesn't get to
cold otherwise your Pintail Finch can easily get sick. Add perches in your Pintail
Finches cage this will help your Pintail finch by giving it places to rest. Sometimes it is
fun to add little compartments for you pet Pintail Finch this is a great accessory for
your bird. Make sure that you pet Pintail Finch has a place where it can sleep in like a
small box.
Food
Your Pintail Finch should be fed daily. They should be fed nutritious and fresh food.
This will give your Pintail Finch a healthy diet. Do not feed your Pintail Finch too much
otherwise your pintail finch can easily get overweight. Also it is important not to under
feed your bird birds can easily get starved. Nutritious foods can be bought at a local
store. When you give your bird water make sure that the water bowl isn't a threat to
your bird drowning. Clean your birds water daily to ensure harmful bacteria doesn't
get in your birds water.
Behavior
It is best just to get only one Pintail Finch because it is less care and you will not have
to worry about your bird getting into fights with other birds. If you decide you want to
get two birds do not get two males because they will fight. If you do not want baby
birds it is obvious that you don't put female and male Pintail Finches together. It is
best to house two females if you decide you want two Pintail Finches.
