Environment
Sharks are not what you would think when it comes to a shark you would find at a pet
store. Sharks are small pets and will not eat other fish like you would think. Make
sure that you keep a clean environment for your shark so they do not get harmful
bacteria in their bodies. Make sure that your shark does get some sunlight because
this will be better off then letting them sit in the dark all day. Add an aeration system
in order to give your shark oxygen to breathe from. Your shark does really not have
to have a certain water temperature but make sure it is not extremely hot or cold. Add
a filtration system to get rid of harmful bacteria that will float in your sharks water. You
should add hiding places and plant matter in your aquarium so that your fish can hide.
Your shark should have plenty of space to swim around so they stay healthy and fit.
The more fish you have in the aquarium the bigger the aquarium should be.
Food
Pet sharks are not the type of shark that will go around eating whatever they can they
will only eat dead fish or fish that show signs of death. They are carnivores so you
can put small shrimp or blood worms in for your shark. You also should give your
shark some kind of flake diet. This will give your shark a variety of food options.
Make sure that you feed your shark daily in order for them to get their proper diet.
Feed them nutritious food otherwise your shark will live an unhealthy life.
Behavior
Like I stated earlier sharks will not eat other fish in the aquarium unless they are dead
or sick. Sharks will get along with most fish including their own kind. Male and Female
shark will obviously breed so separate male and female if you do not want baby
sharks.
